Many reasons exist for wanting to create a buffer zone around Camp. The greatest reason is for the safety of campers and school children that come to Id-Ra-Ha-Je year round. The tragedy at Platte Canyon High School in Bailey taught us a valuable lesson in the area of safety. Camp has some wonderful neighbors; however, having full time staff live in the homes that surround Camp creates a more manageable boundary to monitor. Out of courtesy for our neighbors on the northwest section of Camp, we now limit our circle drive road behind their home to foot traffic and occasional maintenance vehicles. Having this road open would be a great convenience to Camp plus it will reduce the number of neighbors who may be concerned about noisy children.

The property consists of a 2,704 square foot home on 7.8 acres. It has 7 rooms total, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and an attached 2 car garage. The 7.8 acre lot has been zoned into 3 separate lots: the home sits on a .9 acre lot, lot number 2 is 2.14 acres, and lot number 3 is 4.75 acres. In addition, here is an outstanding well on the property which could possibly be added into the Camp water system.
