FULL TIME COOK
I. QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of cooking and kitchen equipment

II. RESPONSIBLE TO: Food Service Director
III. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare meals for groups year-round, in all kitchens and specifically one kitchen in the summer.
- Follow menus and recipes as written.
- Prepare meals, making them look and taste good.
- Assist in keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and organized – including all storage areas and refrigeration areas.
- Assist with the rotation of food and the stocking of kitchens.
- Follow guidelines for food storage and handling. Avoid waste.
- Supervise staff during set up and clean up of dining hall.
- Ensure that staff is following health department and camp rules and regulations.
- Help in developing new ideas for menus and recipes.
- Make sure to maintain high level of service to groups and campers.
- Participate in the spiritual development of kitchen staff.
- Assist Food Service Manager in seasonal cleaning and activities.
- Complete training in first aid procedures and fire prevention systems.
