Follow-Up Program .

A Snapshot of Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je's Heart!

Camp has always had a heart to see young souls come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Throughout the years, Camp has grown to minister to over 3000 campers each summer through a large range of programs. Through these programs, we are reaching even more lives for Jesus Christ.

Camp feels a responsibility to see that these young lives are not lost in the valley. Through the Follow-up Program we are placing young lives into Bible-believing churches, and seeing kids grow closer to the Lord after leaving Camp. We, however, cannot do this ever-increasing task without the valued teamwork of local churches.

The goal of the Follow-up Program is to be a useful tool to the church in helping it grow, and reach more lives for Jesus Christ! Will you help us help you? Picture what could be accomplished working together!

"Any" Camper's Story...

Let me paint you a picture. A young child comes to Camp. All this child knows of Jesus is that it's a common swear word. All this child knows of church is they go there on special holidays, "sometimes". In the week that they are here they learn that Jesus is God. They come to understand that He loved them so much that He came to die for their sin.

Now picture this, that same camper dirty from head to toe coming to an understanding that Jesus died for them personally! After talking with their counselor or pastor they decide to make the most important decision of their life. They ask Jesus to be their personal Savior. They then go with their counselor to sign camp's Book of Life. All of us at Camp rejoice with this camper!

Now the next picture. YOU have the brush in hand. When this camper goes home there is a good chance that they will have no one to guide them in the scriptures. There will most likely be no Godly influence. More times than not they will not have a church to offer them Godly fellowship. The picture can show an individual or a church reaching out to help this child, or it can show a child lost trying to figure out this newfound relationship on their own.

My name is Jed Johnston, Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je's follow-up director. I have seen both scenarios and it is my prayer along with the rest of Camp staff that the second scenario does not occur. You and your church can help and I hope you will. This brochure shows just how the process works and what needs to be done to prevent a child from having little chance to grow. Thank you for taking the time to look this over.
