Our summer wranglers are the life-blood of this program. It is also one of the most physically demanding jobs at Camp. Please pray that God will provide the right people to serve.

Five wranglers will be hired for the summer, responsibilities include:

 

  • Assist with scheduling trail rides
  • Guide trail rides
  • Care for approximately 30 horses:
    • Minor vet care/first aid
    • Vaccinations
    • Worming
    • Assist with farrier day

 

  • Care for small animals
  • Assist with horse evacuation (if needed)
  • Assist in horse training
  • Assist in fence repair

Must be CPR/First Aid certified. We will provide training for those who need it.

Wrangler staff training starts two weeks prior to the start of summer camp. All wranglers are required to attend, and will be notified of specific dates upon hiring.

Trail rides: 2 wranglers guide each trail ride, with an average of 7-10 per a day. Scheduling for the week's trail rides is completed on Sunday evening.

Horsemanship classes: Offered to High School campers. Classes consist of 4 sessions (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), of 2 hours each.
