Pete & Jami Johns

I am a native Baileyite. I grew up just 5 miles from Camp and have grown up being involved with Camp one way or the other. Jami is a long ago transplant from New Jersey and Kansas . I became a Christian at the age of 7 and Jami accepted Christ into her heart at Work of Life Camp in upstate NY at age 6. Both Jami and I went to Tabor College , a small liberal arts college in Hillsboro Kansas . God brought us together during our junior and senior years. Jami graduated first and moved to the Denver area and worked until I graduated and in the summer of 1989 we were married. God has blessed us these 16 years by allowing us to raise our two children, Zachary (8) and Alyssa (5) in the wonderful state of Colorado . Both Zachary and Alyssa have accepted Christ into their hearts. Zachary on his Grandfather's birthday at age 7 and Alyssa on Christmas Day at age 4. God is good!!!

On February 1 st , 2005 we were blessed again and became missionaries here at Camp ID-RA-HA-JE. It was a long road to get here, but God perseveres and we finally listened. I am the Assistant Maintenance Director and am in charge of vehicle maintenance, playground equipment safety, smoke alarms/fire extinguishers and other duties as needed. Jami is helping Janice Mortimeyer with deposits and receipts and during the summer she works joyfully with Arts and Crafts. God is good!!!

Some of the hobbies we enjoy together as a family and individually include: 4-Wheeling, we are members of Colorado Springs Christian 4-Wheelers; camping; ATV riding; hiking; hunting; stamping/scrapbooking, Jami is a consultant for Close to My Heart; cross stitching and time with Grandmas and Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles.
