As a non-profit organization, Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je depends on people like you to help us continue ministering to children, families, and churches. One way you can contribute is through your financial help.
Although Camp employs contracted staff, the missionary staff raises support for living and ministry expenses through donations from committed individuals, churches, and businesses. Donations to Camp staff support are tax deductible under IRS Code section 501(c)(3). Camp exerts every effort to honor any stated designation. Staff members believe that God's will is confirmed through financial provision.
In May of 1998, Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je created the Facilities Trust Fund to ensure future income for the ongoing financial needs for maintenance and repairs at Camp. The goal is to raise one million dollars for the Fund. December 31, 2005, the Fund had $140,151. Over the last ten years, many repairs and purchases have been partially paid through the earned interest, some of which include new bases and canvas covers at Tepee Camp, purchase of a home bordering Camp, the kitchen at the new Summit House, a new trash compactor and the drilling of a well.
Camperships are a special way to contribute to both Camp and a young child all at the same time! Each year Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je gives several hundred scholarships for children to come to camp, who otherwise would not be able to attend. A large amount of the funds come from our annual Chuckwagon Cookout held in early May. If you can, we would ask that you help us send kids to enjoy a fun week at camp and receive a chance to hear the clear message of Jesus Christ!
Last year, the Foundation gave $16,300 toward the college education of 46 students who were on summer staff. To give to the education of our summer staff, make checks payable to “Id-Ra-Ha-Je Scholarship Foundation”. Forty percent of all gifts to the Foundation will go directly to next summer’s students. Fifty percent will go toward the principal, with the Fund’s interest being used each year until the Lord returns.
Any un-designated donations go into our general fund to be used where most needed.
